Job Title: Web Developer for GoExpo Social Networking Software
Skills Required:
PHP, JavaScript, MySQL, Linux, Adobe Photoshop and general design skills, website development in raw HTML and CSS. Also, you must be very personable as you will be interacting with clients. Furthermore, you must be a very bright and self motivated individual and have the ability to problem solve without much guidance. If you don’t consider yourself top notch and capable of substantial innovation, this job is not for you. For example, if we provide you with just the source code to a large application that has just a few embedded comments, you must be able to quickly analyze the code and make clean modifications. Professional experience and a degree in Computer Science are greatly encouraged, but great intelligence and motivation are absolute requirements.
Description Overview:
We are looking to hire a part-time software developer for around 20 hours a week. You can work remotely, but you must be readily available during the standard 9-5 EST work hour schedule. If the arrangement goes well, we will most likely offer you a full time position.
Company Overview:
GoExpo is a social networking platform, similar to say facebook.com, that is for tradeshows. It matches exhibitors and attendees on their product interests and allows users to maintain an online profile, navigate an interactive floor plan, plan their show, schedule appointments and contact people at the show. We are a small privately held company that has been in business for just over 2 years and in this short time has acquired almost 50 clients. Being that we are a small company with a client list that is growing incredibly quickly, we believe that you should not base the value of this opportunity on the starting compensation. Instead, we think you should look long term as you will have the ability to innovate and become a cornerstone employee in the years to come. Our current clients are the largest in the industry, we have the best product on the market and we haven’t even come close to maximizing our market share.
